update of 2008 Congratulations to Davie and Catriona who had a baby
girl (Iona) who arrived at 4.14, weighing in at 4lb 14oz on Christmas Eve.
Both Mum and Baby doin well. Spoke to Davie today and he is chuffed to
bits, so, looks like it's Davie's round at next practice then... DID YOU KNOW,,,, SOMEONE ACTUALLY LOGGED ON TO THE SITE ON CHRISTMAS DAY....... AT 3.15 IN THE MORNING... 12/12/08 Well, thats it on the gig front for us until next year. Time to learn some new stuff, go on holiday, get fat, get pissed etc etc. Thanks to everyone that has supported us over the last year, hope to see you all again next year at gigs around and about. Added a couple of gigs for the Bridge Inn in Gala, hope to add some other gigs soon. 28/11/08 Last gig of 2008 for us tomorrow at Rockers, hope to see you there, then its a wee break over the festive period to freshen up the tired old set-list and the tired old members of the band. Working on getting some new dates added to the gig list for 2009. Keep checking back for updates, I promise I will update the site over the coming few weeks to keep everyone posted... 30/10/08
H had his new diary on Saturday so we
got some gigs in for next year, see the gigs page. All of them are TBC at
the mo, we will confirm them as soon as possible. 13/10/08 Looking forward to the next wee run of gigs, should be good... not much else happening as usual. Trying to organise a local gig before December, probably in Haddington, depends on everyones free time.. and hopefully gonna try and get some songs recorded (properly) to put on the site/MySpace/Bebo etc etc. 22/09/08
Added another gig to the list, a different venue in Kilmarnock this time -
called Dirty Martinis - .... 01/09/08 Added an extra gig to the schedule, somewhere in Middleton (more details when it comes in) December has been cancelled - official! Davie says so.... more news later. 24/07/08
Not much happening at the mo, just getting some new stuff together for
future gigs. Next gig is the Minehoff Rally on the 8th August (lookin
forward to that one) then its holidays for a bit and then more gigs.. 25/06/08

Added a gig at Fanny's in Kilmarnock on
the 11th July and a bike rally for Forth Valley MCC at an as yet undisclosed
location on the 27th September... also workin on gettin another gig in the
Bridge in Gala and hopefully, somewhere in FIFE.. 19/05/08 Its been a while, and I still don't have anything to write about - is that writers block or is it coz I'm a dull git? Got a gig sorted for 15th November in Hustlers in Dundee, more details to follow. Also working on a return to Fanny's in Kilmarnock (dream on MacKay...) and a couple of Sunday Sessions in Haddington on .. em .. a Sunday. Lookin forward to the Furry Boots Rally on Saturday and the Bridge in Gala on the 30th. See you there... ... .... FIFE GIGS? 07/04/08 Hi folks, gig in the Bridge Inn in Gala is confirmed for the 30th May, as is the Rockers gig on the 19th July, and as I said earlier, the 30th August in Rockers looks unlikely, in fact its so unlikely that we are trying to get a different date. Also trying to confirm an Edinburgh date (or 2) and still waitin to hear about THE FIFE GIGS!!! 25/03/08 Just waitin on confirmation from our lot for another gig in our other favorite boozer, The Bridge Inn in Gala. Hope to be able to confirm that one soon, along with the other Rockers gig on the 19th July. The 30th Aug gig looks very unlikely so I will see if I can get the date changed this week. Hoping to get a couple of gigs in the Kingdom of Fife in the very near future, watch this space (IN OTHER WORDS,'get the finger out Mr P!'). 12/03/08 No news is good news so I will leave it at that. Apart from addin a few gigs and finally updatin some of the pages.. 14/02/08 Added a couple of videos taken during the last week or two with one of them new fangled camera phones, or is it phone camera, things. The videos are a bit raw and the sound ain't brilliant so complaints on a postcard to Sony Ericsson and not us,,, should have stuck wi the super 8... ..and we are lookin forward to the Rockers gig on the 1st March so come along and join us... 30/01/08 Some new gigs added for your gratification. A couple of them still need to have venues and times sorted but I will post the details as soon as we have them. The others are nearly sorted and sorted....Fanny By Gaslight (what a name for a pub) in Kilmarnock is confirmed, as is the Furry Boots Rally and I am just waitin to confirm the date for the Masonic Hall in Haddington - cheap booze and annoying the folks next door with some loud rock music, what more could you want on a Saturday night. 21/01/08 Well, have you sobered up folks? Not had much to drink myself, cant be bothered, too busy learning new songs for your listening pleasure at the next bunch of gigs. Also been asked to do the Furry Boots Rally in Clatt again this year (thats the one where they eat loads of strange stuff), just waiting on confirmation on that one. Hope to post a few more upcoming gigs over the next month so keep watching. My New Year Resolution... update the website a bit more often... what's yours? Hi again folks, its me, another year older but none the wiser. Anyway,
here's the news... got another gig in the Bridge Inn down in sunny
Galashiels. It's booked in for the 14th March (I know it's a long way away
but, hey, we're a busy band....) so pencil it in your dairy, or should that
be diary? Lookin forward to a return to one of our favorite venues at the
end of December so hope to see you all in ROCKERS ON THE 29th. F*ck
everything else, come along and get pissed wi us. It will be nearly New
Year, so start as you mean to go on... 14/11/07 Confirmed the gig in Rockers on the 29th December and also the ones for next year... just so you know 08/11/07 Sack the webmaster - for he is a lazy git. Ok, I've been a bit lazy not updating the site when I should've been but I have a good excuse and I will post it here when I can think of it. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, all you West side fans (!) that come along to Rockers in Glasgow to see us will be glad to know (!) we have another nite in our favorite venue planned for the 29th December. Just waitin on a final confirmation and we will be good to go - AND we have some dates planned for next year also waitin on confirmation so fill up your diaries now.. The charity gig in Haddington on the 17th will be £5 to get in and for that you will get 3 bands and a DJ. The bands are FMR, Avernus and Infallible. All proceeds are going to Cancer Research, so get your hands in your pockets and splash the cash. ..and another thing. Posted up a few videos of us at Rockers on YouTube. You will find them at www.youtube.com/FMRScotland. The sound quality is a bit poor but its a start. Hope to get a few better quality sound clips posted up soon. Thanks to James for taking some pics and some video for us 26/10/07 Not much to write about this week, next gig is in Rockers on the 3rd November followed by a charity gig in Haddington on the 17th. Well it had to happen... we now have a Bebo page as well... they even give

A couple of new gigs on the list, just waiting on confirmation, so keep
checking back. 1st one is in The Bridge Inn in Gala and the other is in the

Fullmetalracket will be playing in The Ark in Waterloo Place, Edinburgh on
the 1st of December, tickets are priced at a very reasonable £5. FYI, updated the history and sound list pages... 25/08/07
News just in (well, it was Thursday, but I'm a bit slow with the updates),
the new bass player will be (cue fanfare) Dave Veitch - currently standing
in for us at the mo, but isn't standing in any longer as he is now a
permanent member. After a band meeting on Thursday we decided to tell Dave
he could have the vacant spot (as long as he bought us all toasties and
beer) and he accepted. So the post has now been filled. Thanks to everyone
that expressed an interest/e-mailed/tried out/bribed etc etc. p.p.s - the gig in Gala has been confirmed, see ya there...
